I bought a set of lamps with shades from a local thrift store that were in general good condition with the exception of one that haf been dropped. It still worked and they did their best to glue it back together but a large piece was missing from the base of one. I patchef it with a thin piece of cardboard and wood glue in a paper mache fashion, painted it and you can't even tell. Yay :)
