update

It has been over a month since my last post. In that time, I have been working on things. I am still currently creating two human beings and have entered my 30th week as of today. I will go for another weekly ultrasound tomorrow with the company of my husband and step-mother-in law. Last week I brought my husband, sister and eldest nephew and I hope to be able to bring my husband and dad next week so long as his work schedule permits.

I have also been nesting, rearranging, organizing all parts of the house. Last night I rearranged a few things in my "creative room" so I could remove the dresser I am giving my sister for my youngest nephew's room and clean up for when my mom comes over tomorrow night to work on some sewing. The nursery mural is about 80% complete. I was hoping to have it done last weekend but our birthing classes and maternity pictures took precidence so I failed to do so. I am hoping to get in there and work on it more tonight as my parents are coming over tomorrow night. They are helping us obtain a freezer from my Aunt's house which will come in handy once we need to start stockpiling for the growing boys as well as for mom and I to work on the dog beds for the girls so they can return to sleeping in their crates in the room with us. Ever since we moved their beds to the livingroom to keep them off the furniture, Delila had chosen to stay down there and sleep, though she usually did previously anyways, just in a chair or on the couch, and Polli rolls up in a ball somewhere on the floor beside Joey's side of the bed, usually ontop of a pillow he's thrown or a pile of laundry, until I get out of bed in the morning so she can claim my spot when I leave.

I made a few things from the Splenda Cookbook I had never made before and stuffed french toast has been a favorite. I want to do more, but I usually wake famished and retire to bed before making it for the next morning.

I planted all the tomato and watermelon saplings I had and they are already so tall they can't stand on their own anymore. The crazy rain two nights ago made them and the grass in the backyard spring up several inches, so I will need to get out the wiring from last year to support the tomatoes and probably relocate the watermelon outside it's current fencing - the vines are climbing the fencing already - and weed eat the backyard before Joey can actually mow it because the poor little Neuton isn't powerful enough to cut through all the thick stuff. I still need to lay newspaper around the hostas and hydrangea and put pinestraw ontop to keep the grass and weeds out. The hydrangeas are a deep blue color this year since we've moved them to the back yard. I can't remember if that means there is more or less acidity in the soil, I could look it up if I really had to know.

So much stuff to do and so little time. I know I should prioritize this stuff on paper and start doing it. Maybe I will after we return from our anniversary trip this weekend. Until then, all I can think about it getting away for a little while and being on the beach, even if it is supposed to be scattered thunderstorms the entire time we're there.
